FREE vs. PROFITABLE
There are two major differences between the free version of Hotspot Shield Elite and Hotspot Shield Version: 1) The free version of Hotspot Shield contains advertising with windows that appear when you log in. These ads also appear on top of every browser you use. With Hotspot Shield Elite, you will not be bothered by advertising content.
2) With the free version, as mentioned above, you can not as accessing servers based in the United States. While with Hotspot Shield Elite, you will also be able to connect to servers based in the United Kingdom, Japan and Australia.
DISADVANTAGES
There are some disadvantages with both the free version of Hotspot Shield Elite and, but for many users they may not prove to be a drag. The main disadvantages that we could identify with these services:
1) CONNECTION SPEED -As already stated, Hotspot Shield is not the fastest VPN on the market. Of course, connection speeds depend on your location, which can be another drawback since Hotspot Shield has a limited list of countries for its servers. For users in the United States, this should not be a problem. Whether with the free or paid version of the product.
2) ADVERTISING - This only applies to the free version (with Hotspot Shield Elite because there is no advertising). CONCLUSION
Aside from a few minor drawbacks mentioned above, we found qu'Hotspot Shield was a very useful product as the free versions that pay.
It is particularly suitable for those who want a simple VPN service to use and easy to install. If you want a free VPN service, it is hard to think of a better solution, though some may find CyberGhost more convenient, especially for those living in Europe.
